Community Transition Pathway

Community Transition Pathway is a roadmap which defines a series of actions that a community can take in order to achieve a transition towards greener energy within the energy system. It describes the level of preparedness of the community for the transition towards the wider aim of decarbonization. The roadmap includes steps for enabling and consolidating their energy citizenship, descriptions of relations among different actors and stakeholders, relations with socio-technical innovations, and relations with the context (in their different geographical levels).

In the context of GRETA, Community Transition Pathways are collaborative routes to support different actors and stakeholders in transitioning between different levels of energy citizenship information, awareness and engagement and are supposed to establish guidelines for the exploration and enhancement of positive energy citizenship behaviours. CTPs are formulated for each case study and include the key steps for the transition, elaborated through the adoption of a systemic and multiscale approach (top-down and bottom-up perspectives) that, in its medium-long term vision, will support the achievement of decarbonization and Green Deal goals in Europe.
